    Yorkshire set 202 to win

England hopeful Tim Bresnan led an encouraging Yorkshire bowling display with four for 31 from his ten overs to restrict Gloucestershire to a manageable 201 in today's Friends Provident Trophy quarter-final at Bristol.

The 23-year-old all-rounder helped to reduce the hosts to 50 for six with the help of opening partner Matthew Hoggard and fellow all-rounder Rich Pyrah.

The hosts had actually reached 25-0 in the seventh over but Bresnan and Hoggard shared the four wickets of William Porterfield, Hamish Marshall, Alex Gidman and Craig Spearman in 26 balls.

Hoggard, who is playing his first game since breaking a thumb almost three weeks ago, also had Australian left-hander Marcus North caught behind by Gerard Brophy - and finished with figures of three for 26 from his ten overs.

Pyrah got Hardinges, leaving the score at 50 for six, before Chris Taylor and Stephen Adshead put on 82 for the seventh wicket. Taylor was run out for 54.

But Adshead continued his march, pushing the hosts just beyond 200 with an entertaining 71. Anthony McGrath helped to finish off the late Gloucester resistance, getting Adshead for figures of one for 35 from 5.2 overs.

    Yorkshire need 202 to win.
